Chief Fire Warden Training Adelaide Course Overview
Our Chief Fire Warden Training Adelaide course delivers PUAFER006 Lead an emergency control organisation. It develops the practical leadership skills required to coordinate an Emergency Control Organisation before, during and after a workplace emergency.
Participants learn to undertake pre-emergency planning, respond to emergency signals and warnings, assess developing situations, initiate an action plan, give clear directions, maintain communication and support post-emergency activities.
Prerequisite: Participants must hold
PUAFER005 Operate as part of an emergency control organisation.

What You Will Learn in Chief Fire Warden Training Adelaide
During the course, participants develop the skills required to:
- Participate in emergency planning, training and workplace emergency exercises
- Maintain facility emergency procedures and ECO membership information
- Identify or initiate emergency signals and warnings
- Assess an emergency and initiate the appropriate action plan
- Ensure emergency stations are attended and operated correctly
- Control entry into affected areas during an emergency
- Give clear directions, make appropriate decisions and keep others informed
- Coordinate wardens and occupants during an emergency response
- Communicate and liaise effectively with attending emergency services
- Support debriefing, reporting and post-emergency activities
Assessment and Certification
Assessment is competency-based and includes knowledge questions and practical demonstrations based on workplace emergency scenarios. Participants must successfully complete all training, assessment and enrolment requirements, including providing their USI.
After successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for PUAFER006 Lead an emergency control organisation.
